We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Energy and Sustainability Consultant with a strong background in sustainable building design to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a professional with over 5 years of experience in a similar or equivalent role, who is passionate about driving innovative, low-carbon solutions in the built environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage sustainable building design projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client requirements.

Provide expert guidance on energy modelling and energy consultancy, with a strong focus on broader design and sustainability strategies.

Apply in-depth knowledge of low carbon building design standards, building regulations, and planning requirements such as BREEAM, NABERS, LEED, to deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes.

Attend and actively contribute to design team meetings, coordinating the plan of works with other project team members.

Oversee the quality assurance of project reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are used efficiently.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Extensive experience in energy modelling with software such as IES, and in energy consultancy, with a strong emphasis on sustainable building design.

Proven track record in sustainable building design, including thorough knowledge of low carbon building design standards, building regulations, and planning requirements.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide project teams, coordinate tasks, and manage project timelines effectively.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present complex technical information clearly.
