Senior Water Engineers

Location: Cork, Tralee, Limerick, Galway, Dublin.

Experience: 10-15 years

MWP are looking for a Senior Water Services Engineer to join our growing Water Services Team.

We are an established multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy with offices in London and throughout Ireland.

This role will suit a candidate with ten years plus, postgraduate experience, who will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work on challenging and varied projects, within a close-knit team of engaging individuals. Role:

  • The overseeing and preparation of Preliminary designs reports for both Private and Public Clients inclusive of D+B Contracts.
  • The preparation of detailed tender documents, scope of works, specifications and pricing documents.
  • The Supervision and Contract Administration of Water Services projects in the field.
 
The Successful candidate must have:

  • Have a minimum 10+ years post graduate experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Must have attained Chartered Status.
  • Have experience in a wide variety of Water Services Projects including Network design, pumping stations, WWTP, Rising mains and Fire protection Projects.
  • Experience working with Irish and/or UK water authorities
  • Have experience in the use of Micro-drainage, Civil 3D and GIS or similar.
  • Ideally have knowledge of government/public contracts and others such as NEC and FIDIC.
  • Experience in flood risk management, fluvial hydraulic modelling or hydrology would be an advantage.
  • Current experience of leading, managing and running, Civil engineering design projects, preferably in the consultancy sector.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of current codes of practice and design standards.
  • Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Full driver’s licence
